Andrew - Basketweave Men's Scarf


You Will Need
3 skeins Rowan Kid Classic - one in one colour (Colour 1), two in another (Colour 2)
9mm needles
Tapestry needle to finish

The Pattern
The pattern uses basketweave - there are two 'blocks' which are alternated. The pattern is knitted with two strands of yarns throughout.

Block 1
R1 (and all odd rows): k5, p5, k5, p5, k5
R2 (and all even rows): p5, k5, p5, k5, p5
Repeat until you have done 10 rows in total.

Block 2
R1 (and all odd rows): p5, k5, p5, k5, p5
R2 (and all even rows): k5, p5, k5, p5, k5
Repeat until you have done 10 rows in total.

The Scarf
Holding a strand of each yarn colour, cast on 25 stitches
Work Block 1, Block 2, Block 1.

Cut the Colour 1 yarn, and join in Colour 2.
Work Block 2, Block 1, Block 2, Block 1, Block 2.

Cut one of the Colour 2 yarns and join in Colour 1.
Work Block 1.

Cut Colour 2 yarn and join in Colour 1 (since you just have the one skein of this colour - just find the other end of the yarn and use that)
Work Block 2.

Cut one of the Colour 1 yarns and join in Colour 2.
Work Block 1.

Cut the Colour 1 yarn and join in Colour 2.
Work Block 2, Block 1, Block 2, Block 1, Block 2.

Cut one of the Colour 2 yarns and join in Colour 1.
Work Block 1, Block 2, Block 1.

Cast Off.
